Android Porting to iPhone 4 / iPod Touch 4G, 3G / iPad 1, 2 Very Soon !

Great news, Android plateform on its way to land on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G. Look what we’ve found while perusing our Twitter timeline… This could means that we’ll see Android coming to the iPhone 4 and iPad (may be iPad 2 too) very soon as the hackers who ported Android on iPhone 3G / 2G has already made a great progress on porting Android to newer devices.


First, cpich3g tweeted that they have very basic PMU on iPhone 4 OpeniBoot:

Then he explains to one of his followers:

@DeceptiveJunk That means another baby step towards a useable openiboot which is essential for getting android on newer idevices

And the well-known BlueRise says that it works on iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2G:

Awesome! The iPhone 4 NAND code seems to be fully working with the iPod Touch 4G and aTV 2G. iPad untested because @iRekoil isn’t online. :p

iPhone 5 to Power 12.6 Megapixel Camera and 1080p Video Recording?

Well, I hope to see such rumors come true on the upcoming iPhone 5. OmniVision, known for producing out-of-the-box digital imaging solutions, supplied Apple with the back camera sensor for iPhone 4. The California based company has recently produced new sensors called OV12825 for the cameras of upcoming smartphones. The newly developed sensor, which will enter the production stage around early June, will offer 12.6 megapixel resolution along with 1080p video recording on 60fps.

Though, no one has yet placed orders for this futuristic sensor, since Apple has previously been including OmniVision sensors, the windows are open. On the other hand, some early rumors with semi-strong basis suggested that Apple will be ditching OmniVision for Sony for a 8MP sensor.

Since the iPhone 4 offers magnificent image sensor and Apple has previously been working with OmniVision, there’s a great chance that Apple may stick to OmniVision for OV12825. If this goes as hoped, the iPhone 5 will be a dream phone for photographers.

Now you can buy “Square“, the credit card reader for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. “Square” is now available online via Apple.com and will soon be available at Apple Retail locations as well.

Square is a revolutionary service that allows you to accept credit cards, using a reader that plugs into your iPod touch (4th generation), iPhone 4, or iPad along with a free easy-to-use app. There’s no need for complicated contracts, monthly fees, or merchant accounts. All you pay is 2.75% per transaction. You can download the free app from the App Store. Square is currently available for use in the U.S.

Costs $9.95 (and you get a $10 credit upon sign up), which is crazy for anyone who remembers how complicated and costly is used to be to get merchant accounts or otherwise setup to handle credit card transactions. TechCrunch points out:

Clearly Square is taking a bit of a bath on the device sales here. Apple is probably taking some sort of cut from the transaction, and Square is giving merchants a $10 credit, so effectively, the company isn’t really making any money. In fact, it appears that Square could be losing money on this. But an endorsement and placement from Apple could boost sales and usage for the payments device so perhaps all will even out in the end. Also, Apple managing distribution and shipping of Square devices means that the startup will be able to give users access to quicker and more efficient delivery operations.
